A technique in colour at The Outlawz

Good morning blogging friends,
I do hope you have all had a great start to the week. Today the colour challenge at The Outlawz has a challenge with a bit of a difference. The challenge this week was Ina's choice. She hasn't given us any colours to work with, so you can choose your own, but the twist this week is to use a technique. Ina has decided on the shaving cream technique and if you have never done it, then you have missed out on lots of fun. If you google it, you will find a number of links, but this one is very easy to follow:

Once again our sponsor is Sweet Pea Stamps, and the DT have used different images a variety of images this week. Please come and see what they have to show.

I have used "Unicorn Dreams" and you can find it HERE

For my technique I used just 2 colours of Distress
 re-inkers..chipped sapphire and scattered straw.
I matted my coloured card onto a card that I coloured with Pan Pastels to match the yellow.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads and matted onto another piece of coloured card.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and I finished it off with some buttons to pick up the flowers in the image.

This is such a fun technique, so I do hope that you will try it and join us this week.

Will enter this in some challenges:

Wow, awesome card! Love the background!! I've done the shaving cream technique and it is a wonderful way to make what you want and need rather than rely on what we can buy at a store. I love the colors you chose and this image is outstanding. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Shelter for our "Digital" challenge! Hugs, Gail
